Jordan Threloff of the Northern Illinois men’s basketball team has been granted a legislative relief waiver by the NCAA making him eligible for competition during the 2013-14 season.

Threloff will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at NIU.

“We are grateful that the NCAA has granted Jordan’s request,” said NIU head coach Mark Montgomery. “I am excited that Jordan will be able to participate fully with us this season and look forward to having his experience and physical presence on the floor.”

A native of DeKalb, Threloff spent the last three seasons at Illinois State, redshirting the 2010-11 season before appearing in 50 contests of the past two years. Threloff was a four-year varsity letterwinner at DeKalb High School, scoring 1,500 career points while grabbing 1,000 career rebounds and twice being named the DeKalb Daily Chronicle’s Player of the Year.
