Two volleyball matches selected for TV

September 6, 2013

Logo of the Mid-American ConferenceThe Mid-American Conference announced Friday that two Northern Illinois volleyball matches will be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel as part of the league’s new regional partnership.

The first appearance by the Huskies begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Bowling Green in a rematch of last year’s MAC Championship match.

A month later, NIU returns to the airwaves when they host Western Michigan at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at a special start time inside Victor E. Court.

“I’m excited that we will have two of our conference matches shown on the Time Warner Cable SportsChannel,” said NIU head coach Ray Gooden.

“We’re honored to have a home match broadcast that can showcase Victor E. Court. We look forward to expanding our audience on a national scale. Both matches are against two very competitive MAC programs. Having a TV audience will only add to the excitement for both matches.”

Outside of the Time Warner Cable footprint, MAC live programming will also be available for cable providers within the Conference regional territory. Check local listings or visit TWCSportsChannel.com to see the availability of the matches in your area.

Select programming will also be available on ESPN3 – ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network available to more than 85 million households on computers, smartphones, tablets, Xbox and Apple TV via WatchESPN through an affiliated Internet or video provider – and MAC-Sports.com.

The Huskies continue their non-conference schedule Saturday, Sept. 7, at home when they face No. 3 USC at 1 p.m. followed by Belmont at 7 p.m.
