Since the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2009-2010, the dean’s office has annually invited nominations for Distinguished Alumni, Faculty and Staff Awards.
These awards recognize individuals who have made major contributions to the college and its reputation. Recipients are selected by a committee comprised of alumni, faculty and staff, and are honored in the fall.
Help is requested in identifying exceptionally well-qualified individuals who deserve consideration for a 2014 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Award. To update the nomination of a previously nominated individual, contact Peggy Russell to determine what information is on file.
Members of the selection committee will be asked to review a maximum of 10 pages of supporting materials for each nomination (not including the nomination form and the letter of nomination.)
All nomination materials must be received by Friday, March 28.
Submissions are accepted by email, U.S. Postal Service mail (postmarked by March 28 to CLAS Awards Committee, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL, 60115) or by fax at (815) 753-7950. The forms contain selection criteria and other pertinent details.
