Ready for the 2015 Huskies Light the Way Homecoming parade?
A long-standing Huskie Homecoming tradition, the Homecoming parade brings Huskies and members of the DeKalb and Sycamore communities together on a march filled with pride for both NIU and the community.
Local and campus groups, organizations and departments are invited to participate. The parade steps off at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the parking lot of the Visual Arts Building and ends in downtown DeKalb.
All applications must be submitted online, and payments are due to the Campus Activities Board in Room 160 of the Campus Life Building room 160. Applications and payments are due by 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
This year’s parade is unique: Because it will take place at dusk, entries are required to use lights to decorate their floats, trucks or even themselves.
