Jeremy Benson has been the NIU STEM Camp Director for almost a decade. We had grand plans to make this year the best year we’ve ever had. When the current situation grew and grew, Jeremy took the initiative to begin planning virtual summer camps. This might not seem like a big deal, but we usually spend five months planning and preparing for camps. Only two months to go, Jeremy led the charge in completely redesigning the look and feel of our STEM camp experience without sacrificing quality or excluding potential campers. Jeremy has worked tirelessly to maintain the name of STEM Camp and to continue to fulfill the goals of the Division of Outreach, Engagement, and Regional Development as well as the mission of NIU.
