Paris Thomas named as part of the 2023 IMPACT Leadership Development Program

Paris Thomas is a 2022 graduate of the Ph.D. in Health Sciences program.

Paris Thomas, who graduated in December 2022 with a Ph.D. in Health Sciences, has been named as one of 44 emerging leaders for the Chicago Urban League IMPACT Leadership Development Program. The intensive, nine-month program helps Black professionals advance in their careers while building a more diverse pipeline of leaders across Chicago.

“Being named to the 2023 cohort has been a honor,” said Thomas, executive director, Rush University Medical Center/Equal Hope.I am looking forward to building connections with other leaders focused on civic engagement and discovering new ways to collaborate and build improved environments for Chicagoans.”

The cohort, which includes talented individuals from the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors, is the program’s ninth since IMPACT began in 2014. Fellows are nominated by their employers and are selected through a competitive application process. More than 100 organizations in the Chicagoland area have sponsored IMPACT Fellows.

“It is a privilege to join some of Chicago’s most talented leaders on this journey,” Thomas said.
