She has dedicated herself to diversity and inclusion, working on many extra projects such as the land acknowledgment, even when facing stiff opposition because she is dedicated to ALL students. She has also led the undergraduate English program through significant changes, again dedicating herself to meeting the needs of students, whether they are majors or general education students.
